A piece of delectable, tender chicken leg, a juicy, well-marinated lamb, Tequila infused prawns and a delicious steak laced in your favorite sauce are neatly assorted and served in a platter, steaming hot. If this sounds irresistible to you, then the Smokin Sizzles festival at La Cantina, Novotel Hyderabad HICC is one food promotion that you shouldnt miss.
Dining beneath the stars along the poolside alfresco seating while the soft music soothes the senses and sets a tone of comfort and serenity – a Wednesday dinner invite couldn’t have been better. The wide display of Grills had an impressive selections of meat, seafood and vegetables available in different marinades and sauces. From New Zealand lamb chops, Norweign Pink Salmon, Chicken breast & leg, and Lobster the choices were plenty for any meat lover. Each of these selections are served with steak fries or creamy mash, herbed rice and various accompaniments that are distinct and compliment the different grills.
Of the multiple grills on offer, I was looking forward to try the Sweet Soy Tenderloin and to my expectation this one particularly stood out. The marinade was vaguely Asian flavors with thyme thrown in however the rich flavor of soy and garlic complimented to an extent that it lingered with me for some time.
Tequila Lobster that followed next was beyond delicious and surely the most enticing one on offer. This was served spicy tomato sauce and wok tossed pok choy. Sizzling Tiger Prawn tossed with sambal sauce & honey is worth mentioning. The addon Rosemary Steak fries on offer not only balanced the palatte but also made this sizzler even more delectable.
The Sous Vide Pork was relished by the pork eating fellow bloggers. Then there was Peri Peri Roast Chicken and Chipotle Smoked chicken – each good in their own league.
The vegetarians can savor a spread of Panko Crumbled Cheddar, Ancho Chilli Vegetable Brochettes, Habanero Cottage Cheese and Chargrilled Portobello. The chargrilled Portobello featured Portobello Mushrooms that were soaked in Balsamic Vinegarand then grilled & served with caramelized onions and wilted spinach. The concentric flavor of balsamic on the mushroom was well complimented when paired with the potato mash and herbed rice.
The Smokin Sizzless promotion is on at La Cantina until 12th February for dinner. Head there for an exquisite dining experience along the scrumptious grills on offer.
