Tuscany at Trident Hyderabad is best known for its sumptuous meals served with big smiles. The menu combines old world Italian cooking techniques with unique recipes to create some of the best Italian dishes and hand tossed authentic pizzas in town. Chef Manik is known for his experiments with ingredients, texture and temperature to elevate the taste of the dishes and therefore when an invite for a New Menu Launch at Trident came my way, I simply couldn’t decline it.

One of the highlights of the menu is that it has elevated its vegetarian options.

Of the four course curated menu on offer, started off with an Aubergine Stack – a delicately batter fried aubergine with fresh mozzarella, basil & tomatoes and more focus on the marvelous saffron cream.

Gamberi Fritti that followed next were batter fired prawns that were perfectly done and served with garlic cream & potato chips. Loved it !

For the soups, I opted for Wild Mushroom Cappuccino that carried the earthy flavor of mushrooms with a delicate aftertaste of espresso. I remember having a wild mushroom cappuccino earlier this year during the Fungi fiesta promotion and this one was as good as it was then. Nice to see it being incorporated as part of the new menu.

From the mains, I absolutely loved the Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Tortellini that was full of flavors. The porcini cream was simply brilliant and the addition of truffle oil perfectly complimented the Tortellini. Truly the star of the day!

The Beetroot Risotto with its vibrant pink color was visually appealing with arugula and goat cheese adding on to the flavor. The thin orange segments was a perfect relish to the dish.

Bacon wrapped chicken that followed next was filled with spinach and ricotta and was served with mashed potatoes, tomatoes, beans and cherries. This one was good in its own different league.

A beautiful plating of Lemon Tart with burnt meringue and raspberry macaroon crumbles was the finale along with a Gelato of macerated fruits.

The new menu with its special focus on seasonal produce and a wider range of vegetarian options is clearly a winner.  Thumbs up for this one!
