Villa Vandre – Celebration of Old World Bandra

When in Mumbai one should not miss out on this quaint little place in PaliHill, Bandra called VillaVandre – a homestyle all day café with a 16 seater capacity. This tastefully decorated café located in the garage of a building is stylishly done with white bentwood chairs, lace curtains and sky blue walls.

I landed here for an early breakfast where I relished the Villa Vandre set breakfast, Pancakes & Maple, Baked beans on toast, Rose Fennel Tea & Ginger Ale.

A quick chat with Friuza Mistry D’Silva the wife of owner Aloysius D’Silva, I understand that Villa Vandre is a celebration of the culinary culmination of multiple roles Chef Aloysius D’Silva has essayed in his career and the menu features some of D’Silva’s signature dishes like the East Indian Sausage Fry, Kasundi Risotto, Sunday chicken Curry, Chux flour & cheese au gratin, Koli community inspired prawn curry etc.

After sampling some really delicious breakfast, I cant wait but to go back and try their signature offerings.
Villa Vandre is a place that definitely evokes the old world Charm of Bandra, Mumbai.
